Registration Information

The rear entrance to the Jodo Shinshu Center

Current or returning IBS or GTU common-MA student students may register for IBS courses in one of the following two ways:

  1. Paper registration
  2. Online registration

If you have questions or concerns about the registration process, about your eligibility for enrollment, or tuition and fees, please contact the registrar.



Paper Registration:

  1. Download and print the Registration Form
  2. Visit the IBS course listings and/or the GTU course schedules
  3. Fill out the Registration Form accordingly
  4. Return the form in person or via postal mail with payment to the IBS registrar

Online Registration

  1. Log in to myIBS
  2. Visit the IBS course listings page.
  3. You will see a message letting you know registration is open.
    Note: if you do not see this message, you may need to select a different semester from the drop-down menu.
  4. To enroll in courses, click the “star” icon next to the class you’d like to add.
    Note: if you are enrolling in any GTU courses, please enroll in “GTU 1000” and provide the IBS registrar with the correct course number when prompted. Consult the GTU course schedules for the correct course number
    Depending on your degree program, you may also need to complete additional steps through the GTU WebAdvisor system. Please consult with the IBS registrar if you are unsure.
  5. Once you have enrolled in all your courses, click the “View my courses” link to review your selections. You may drop courses or add additional courses at this point.
  6. If you are satisfied with your choices, click the “complete the online registration process now” link.
  7. Review your personal information and registration information at this time. This will be your LAST opportunity to make any changes.
  8. If everything is correct, choose the appropriate payment option at the bottom of the page and click “Submit.”
  9. If you are paying tuition fees via check or money order, please print out the subsequent page and return it to the IBS registrar.
  10. If you are paying tuition fees with a credit card, please proceed to the PayPal site at this time to complete the registration process.
  11. Once you submit your registration information, you cannot make changes to your enrollment without contacting the IBS registrar.
  12. If you would like to submit registration but need to pay at a later time, simply log in to myIBS and click the “Manage payments” link.
