Josh Estelle

Josh Estelle is a senior engineer manager at Google, where he has worked for 13 years. He focuses on making emerging technology easy to understand, practical to use, and delightful. Josh studied computer science at Cornell University, then artificial intelligence at the University of Michigan. He began his career as part of the Google Translate team, where he expanded the reach of machine translation to more languages and more modalities (e.g., camera and speech translation). As part of Material Design, Josh built design systems and common patterns for great UX. Today, Josh focuses on digital identity, specifically making the Google account more secure, more private, and more useful to people using Google’s products.
